My goodness, I loved this read. You explored so many important topics that spoke to me including the lightning strike of "I want to be done with this duality." And I adore how you ended it all with the glowing ember that all your writing keeps driving at, which is that nothing is fixed. It's ever in motion, ever changing and moving. Whether we see it or want that to be the case or not, it is.
Your reality-based reminder that "nature" is animated and alive makes me think a lot of Robin Wall Kimmerer and instead of rewriting what I love so much about her work, I'll share a link to what I wrote touching on her wisdom: https://substack.com/@treespeech/note/c-88183213
May we keep painting, and awaken "from our lonely separation" as you put it so eloquently. THIS is my prayer of prayers.

I love it when someone understands my writing deeply and then tells me what I'm saying, in words that I would not have used, mirroring in a way that helps me to see more clearly or in a new light.
I am getting closer, I think, to understanding what I need to write next, how to describe what it is that I feel resonance with, what it is that feels flat. It is possible, as Robin Wall Kimmerer illustrates, to be a scientist and also a deep listener. It is also possible to be an animist with very rigid ideas and identities and philosophies. And it is in crystallization that we lose our way and fragment into dissonance, in fluidity and openness to mystery that we find our way home.
Thank you for all of your reading and sharing today!
This conversation has meant so much and enriched my day, really and truly. The mirroring you speak of is profound, I have found the same. Thank you Markael!!!
I’m thinking of your description of the doctor, that’s me!, who just shares her knowledge of healing to the patient who wants to know what to do to make that problem ease. Yes, I work at giving my knowledge affordably, and to the point. I have colleagues who also do the same.
Thank you for expressing with eloquence what I do in my work.
Such an inspiring contemplation 💔🌍

Words have power and arguably they are better at breaking down and splitting up. You want to bring together I feel. It's kind of beyond words I guess!
In other news, did you see JMG lost his wife - some have missed you over there. J

Hey Mark.

Also, my garden/farm lives there too.
